If you have an ATC, motorcycle, scooter, moped, or boat, the Deltran line of Battery Tenders are lifesavers.
Easy to install and use, and they work great. My old scooter used to slowly loose charge over the winter which would make it difficult to start, but my Deltran battery tender has eliminated that problem. The battery stays charged no matter how long I let it sit without riding.

I love it!

The battery tenders are worth their price in agravation avoidance!! Your car or motorcycle starts right away after not having been driven for ahwile. Yes!!

I also like that it comes with a two harnesses–one to mount semi-permanently and one to clip on. Very easy to use.

Good product.

There are two things you need to consider when purchasing this item.

First, unlike its big brother, the Plus, the Junior is not temperature compensated. To find out more about that, go to batterytender.com, click on the FAQs link on the left and read item #18: "What is Temperature Compensation and how important is it?"

I was concerned about this, as living in the desert as I do, the temperature in my garage is 90 to 130 degrees most of the year and can drop to the 50s in the winter. I inquired about this to Battery Tender support and received this answer: "The Junior is not a temperature compensating unit, however, when the temperature is hotter, the unit will actually charge the battery a bit faster and it will not harm the battery." I don’t know what to make of this, especially since compensation is so important according to their FAQ.

The other is to make sure you get the 4-step Junior which replaced the 3-step over a year and a half ago. On the back side of the packaging on the left side look for the reference to "Complete 4-step."

That being said, I’ve been using a Junior for almost 6 months on my motorcycle so I can’t post up my experience as well as others here. I’m hoping it will provide my batteries with more service than the 14-16 months I’m used to.

By popular acclaim and editorial content, the Junior and the Plus have garnered untarnished reputations and withstood the test of time. For maintaining your battery, there really isn’t anything else out there.

If you are going to use it outside of USA for a 220v (50Hz) outlet and with a 220v/110v transformer, this charger may be not quite good for you. I have purchased two and they all stop to work completely after only 2 times of use. I think that there is some kind of protection circuit that "cuts-off" connection but with no way to know how to get it back.

I also purchased another Deltran battery charger: Deltran Battery Tender 12-Volt 800 milliamp Waterproof Battery Charger and this one is very good and doesn’t need transformer because its input is 100-240 and only about $10 more expensive.

I bought 3 of these several years ago intending to use them on motorcycles. I have a GoldWing that if left sitting too long would have a dead battery. One of these units solved that problem, in fact the battery is coming up on 6 years old is still working great. I ended up giving the second on to my son for one of his M/C’s and I have been using the 3rd one on whatever was parked and not being driven, mostly cars. Since the recent gas crisis I have gone to driving the GoldWing(motorcycle in case you don’t know) all the time and so right now the 3rd unit is on my Audi, for several months now, and it seems to be doing the job just fine. I use the Audi about once every 4-6 weeks when I have to move people or things that I can’t strap to the GoldWing.

For a long time Chevrolet has had the right idea when it comes to cars, and as such the remain the best selling cars in this country, it doesn?t matter what you preference is, the facts will let you know that I am telling the truth, now for a while even I wondered what they were doing to themselves, in the 1980?s they built that horrible excuse for a Corvette, and I thought, good lord Chevrolet is starting to lose it.

And then in the 1992 they took the Camaro out of production, and I thought, what is Chevrolet thinking, the Camaro is their last muscle car to speak of, are they going to go down in flames, and then I begun to think about it, this could be a huge stunt to promote the latest ideas, thousands of people complained to them, and they started to listen to their customers, a rarity in the automotive industry.

In 1992 Chevrolet released the all new Corvette, and I knew that some big things had taken place at Chevrolet, the Corvette was a real player in the style department, and it wasn?t going to stop there, they would again in 1997 update the body style of that famous car known as the Corvette, and this time they would nail it, it had that fancy European look about it, and it had a good amount of power for the normal performance car enthusiast.

In 1997 you only had the choice of a coupe, there was no convertible, a little odd for the Corvette, but it seemed to work out quite well for Chevrolet, it came with a 5.7 liter 90 degree V8 engine boasting 340 HP @ 5600 rpm and 350 FTLB of torque @ 4400 rpm, it was not quite what a Corvette should be in the power department, but Chevrolet was to make some changes in that area.

The Corvette was a whole new breed, with the mods made to the wheel base and width of the car, it look completely different from the model before it, and this was a very good thing for Chevrolet when it came to sales of the new car, the all aluminum LS1 engine would of course lighten up the car a lot, and make it a better handling car all around.

Year To Year Changes
For more info on the Corvette please visit Corvette this is where this info came from.

1998 Chevrolet Corvette: Big news for Corvette fans was the arrival of a convertible to join the initial fifth-generation coupe. Chevrolet’s designers had engineered the latest Corvette to accommodate a convertible body with no additional structural bracing. Convertibles were expected to account for about 45 percent of sales.
They were equipped with a manual folding top, containing a glass rear window and defroster.
Not since 1962 had a convertible Corvette been sold with a traditional trunk.
Magnesium wheels joined the option list, and the engine was revised to quiet the fuel pump.
This year’s Corvette also got a provision for the automatic transmission to start in second gear, for cleaner getaways on slippery surfaces.
1999 Chevrolet Corvette: A new hardtop body style joined the removable-roof coupe and the convertible. Not available with some of the new options, the hardtop weighed about 90 pounds less than its mates and shared the convertible’s trunk. Hardtops came only with 6-speed manual shift and the sport-tuned Z51 suspension.
Other models could have the standard suspension or an optional driver-adjustable setup with soft, medium, and firm settings.
Among the options unavailable on the hardtop were a head-up display that projected instrument-panel readouts into the windshield, and a power-telescoping steering wheel.
All models could have an optional Active Handling chassis control, which used the brakes to keep the car on line during severe cornering maneuvers.
2000 Chevrolet Corvette: The base-model fixed-roof hardtop gained some standard equipment for 2000, including visor mirrors and a remote trunk release. Hardtops could now be equipped with the optional head-up instrument display, as well as dual-zone climate control, fog lamps, and magnesium wheels.
2001 Chevrolet Corvette: Corvette gained an extreme-performance variant for 2001, and all models got standard antiskid control.
The coupe was renamed Z06 and given special performance tuning including additional horsepower, upgraded suspension, and larger brakes.
2002 Chevrolet Corvette: The Z06 model got 405 horsepower for 2002–up 20 hp from ‘01.
It now came with the head-up instrument display that was optional on other ‘Vettes, plus revisions to its unique chassis tuning.
Other models were no longer available with magnesium wheels, and a CD player replaced the cassette deck as standard equipment.
2003 Chevrolet Corvette: All ‘03 Corvettes wear 50th anniversary insignia.
The convertible and hatchback offered a 50th Anniversary Special Edition Package (1SC) with red paint, champagne-colored wheels, and unique trim and badging.
Available for the convertible and hatchback and included in the Anniversary package was new Magnetic Selective Ride Control.
2004 Chevrolet Corvette: Trim packages commemorating racing Corvette’s are the main additions to the ‘04 Corvette.

Enter that 2006 Corvette, a new revolution in the Corvette line, this would be the most powerful production Corvette ever, well if you opted for the ZO6 option, it comes form the factory with an all aluminum 7.0 liter, or 427 CID engine, yes I said 427, the most famous Chevrolet big block ever built, but the twist here ism this is not a big block, it?s a small block, that that has the power of a big block, but still retains the revability of a small block.

This engine is called the LS7, and it?s a serious competitor, with a whopping 505 HP from the factory, it no wimp, it will get down to business with the best of them on the track, it has taken 1ST and 2ND place at the 24 hours of Lemans, against competitors like Ferrari, Porsche and a lot of other top European companies, gaining respect the world over.

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, and have been in the automotive business for about 25 years, and during that time I have worked in all facets of the industry, plus owned my own shops, like I do now.

The purchase of a warranty for new or a used car is often very expensive. There are a few queries that should be made before buying a warranty. Some commonly asked questions are listed below.

One often asked question is whether or not a new car buyer should purchase an extended warranty. That is not an easy question to answer but it is safe to say that purchasing an extended warranty on a new car is not very practical. The extended warranty is merely a way for the company selling it to make money. They figure what the average repair costs are on a new car and add a percentage to cover their operating expenses and more for profit. Say the average repair costs on your vehicle less deductibles is $800 over five years. The company charges you $1000 for a warranty, and you lose because you’d be better off saving that money in a bank and paying for the repairs with the interest you will have accumulated.

One fact that remains true is that an extended warranty does provide peace of mind. If for some reason there is a major repair necessary, then you’re probably covered and you aren’t risking paying high repair bills if your automobile needs above and beyond repairs. Another fact that remains true is if you do purchase an extended warranty or your car is still under a normal warranty ? make sure that you take full advantage of it. If you think there is anything wrong with your car, take it to be serviced immediately. It’s not going to cost you anything, and you are taking full advantage of what is rightfully due to you.

Car Warranty provides detailed information on Car Warranty, New Car Warranty, Extended Auto Warranty, Used Car Warranty and more. Car Warranty is affiliated with Extended Auto Warranty.

I’ve had the regular Silverstars on my two previous trucks, and after owning my current truck for a year with stock bulbs, I decided to upgrade. Instead of going with the regular Silverstars again, I decided to give the Ultras a try. I only changed my headlights, but decided to wait on my foglights and see if I liked them. There’s a noticeable difference in color, it’s brighter, whiter, and a very crisp clean color, not too annoying. I’ve had them in for about 2 weeks, and have been bright lighted once on a dark 2-lane road. Now I need to go buy the matching foglight bulbs, and I would definately buy these again!

Review date : 2008-05-11
1996 to 1999 Chrysler/Dodge minivan owners have to live with weak headlight configurations. The overburdened single bulb provides both high and low beams in a poorly designed mirror/housing lens.

Over years the plastic lens fog/pit from road debris along with the OEM bulbs yellowing. Replacing the inexpensive (aftermarket /-$40) lens housing is relatively easy for the DIYer. Coupled with these Sylvania bulbs and one approaches the original brightness of showroom fresh headlight brightness. But do not expect more.

Review date : 2008-03-31
This headlights are far superior to my stock ones. They are definately brighter and have a bit of a blueish tint, but there’s no mistaking these with genuine xenon lights. But overall, very good for the money.

Review date : 2008-03-26
I had used SilverStars in my’03 Dodge Neon for three years. My son struck a deer and damaged the front driver’s side. When I got the car back from the shop I noticed a big difference in illumination on the driver’s side where the shop had replaced the SilverStar with a standard bulb. I ordered a twin pak of Ultras and they are great. Brighter and wider on low and have more penetration on high with a whiter light. I also have them in my Suzuki Vstrom motorcycle, I had to reaim because they were so bright the reflection frm road signs was distracting, I love ‘em

Review date : 2008-03-08
As it turns out, those dim yellow lights I had on my truck were also made by Sylvania. These silverstar Ultras are WAY better than those, and a good notch above the regular silverstars. Even though I heard PIAAs are longer lasting and even brighter, plus illuminate more of the road, these are doing a fantastic job and since January 1st, when I first installed them, I havent had one complaint. Just happy that I could see the road so much better!

Try playing loud music inside your vehicle. You would notice that there are vibrations and you certainly could feel it. Now, imagine if you had this huge and complicated sound system installed inside your car. Just imagine what would your car?s situation be. This is probably the very reason as per why sound deadeners came into being. What they do is they block out any road noise so that you would be able to just relax while driving and enjoy your music. Along with that, sound deadeners also prevent any vibration, resonance or rattling of the metal parts of your vehicle when you start playing your music quite loudly.

To install sound deadeners, you should first have the sound deadening material available along with a knife or a scalpel, some glue, a hair dryer, a roller, acetone, and rags. As per the material, make sure that you get it out in the sun first to get it warm. You see, this sound deadening material is easier to work with and is more pliable once warm.

Take out your car?s seats, dashboard, door panels, and carpet. Also make sure that you strip the carpet from the trunk. Clean the surface of your car including the floor, the firewall, the doors, and the trunk. You can use the acetone to do this part. And when you have done so, spray on the glue to the metal surface. Then, peel off the backing from the deadening material and apply it to the metal surface. Make sure that the material adheres and sticks to the surface. Check with the use of a roller. To keep the material pliable as you apply it, use a hair dryer to continually heat it up.

It is also important that you keep out any bubbles or bumps so that you can assure yourself that the material has adhered completely. If there are some areas where there are ridges, make sure that the material actually fills the gaps. The wrong thing to assume would be that it is okay to put in the material and just bridge any gaps.

After completing everything, you can now put back in the parts you have removed like the dashboard, the door panels, the carpet and the seats. Since you are in the process of upgrading your vehicle, you can do so further with help from Car Parts Rush. This store specializes in GM parts although other vehicle model parts are available.

I ordered two of a these units from "fjt3000". The first unit had a problem with the remote.. the seller replaced that unit and it’s working now.

The second unit started blowing it’s fuse the second day I had it (I replaced the fuse several times).. the seller did not offer to replace the unit, but said he would credit my Amazon account for the $15.xx, which he promptly did. He said he did not want to replace the unit. Currently his unit price increased to $60 on Amazon.

Both of the above units picked up ignition/alternator noise from the 4 different vehicles I used them in, a Ford Ranger, GMC Jimmy, Chevy Caprice. In the Honda Civic which has the radio antenna embedded in the rear window was not able to get a good signal from the MP3 player.

The "clamshell" the units arrived in were not sealed. I suspect the units were "seconds" for referbished.

got it to works well, plays very well, and haven’t had a problem since they helped me with a few minor problems.

Review date : 2008-06-30
This product seems to work very good for broadcating over FM. It sounds good and there are lot of stations to pick from. My only 2 complaints are when I use it with my MP3 Player. Hooking into the Headphone jack, it doesn’t come across very loud so you have to turn up the radio really loud (but I think this is because of the MP3 player not this transmitter, but I was hoping it would work better). My only other complaint is that my MP3 player charges off of USB and I was hoping I could plug my MP3 player into this and have it charge while I used it, but it doesn’t seem to provide enough current to charge it. Overall I would recommend it for the price. It works good.

Review date : 2008-06-25
The only problem is this sucker is not strong enough and all the frequency is overpowering it. Worst if your car antenna is at the back. The feature is great escpecially the equalizer but you better look for stronger modulator for extra bucks.

Review date : 2008-05-25
This FM Transmitter works well. I can hear a slight high pitch hiss at high speeds in my car, but it is not very noticeable at all. The remote was not working, but it was replaced by the seller quickly and the new remote he sent worked fine.

PROS: Accepts both USB flash drive and SD card for memory, has multiple channel tuning for large cities where it may be more difficult to find a non-used station, provides good sound quality over FM Transmission, and does not crackle at all.

CONS: When using the USB or SD card memory slots, you cannot start over from the same location where you stopped/turned off the car previously and you can’t even fast forward to the point you were at before you turn off the car or unplug the device from the power outlet. This is aggravating because you have to start all over on a lesson plan or song or whatever you are listening to from the beginning. It would be nice if you could fast forward (and reverse) through the file to where you wanted to be or if the device remembered where it was when it was turned off. Remote does not have a fast forward or reverse on it either - you are able to jump through files or go back through files - not through a file itself.

This flaw may be overcome by using an MP3 player attached to the device with the included 3.5mm audio cable. Then you could use your player to reverse or FF through the songs/files to get to where you want to be.

Trailer hitch installation may seem like a difficult and confusing process, but it is much easier with the right knowledge and tools. Most people are able to successfully install their own trailer hitches without any help from a professional. In addition to the installation instructions provided with every individual trailer hitch, there are several universal tips that make the trailer hitch installation process as easy as possible.

Most experts agree that it is a good idea to very loosely secure all parts in their proper places at the very beginning of the installation process. This will reveal any obstructions on the vehicle and will confirm that all of the necessary parts are present and insure that everything is the correct size.

Next, it is a good idea to use a jack to give the vehicle ground clearance needed to install the trailer hitch. It may be necessary to loosen the truck?s bumper, exhaust system, or other parts to get the trailer hitch to fit into place. It is vital that these parts are retightened after the trailer hitch installation is complete.

Next, the installer must drill the appropriate holes in the truck?s frame. Sometimes, the holes are already present, but there is usually some drilling required. It is important to make the holes no more than one 1/16th of an inch bigger than the bolts that will fit through them. Before drilling, the installer needs to insure that they are not about to drill through any important components of the truck?s undercarriage.

Next, any electrical wiring must be installed. The hitch?s instruction guide should provide all of the details for this process.

Experts agree that it is a bad idea to make any modifications to the hitch frame. Drilling any holes in it or trying to weld it to the truck will weaken the metal and possibly make it unsafe to operate.

Trailer hitch installation is not a difficult as it may appear at first. It is vital that the installer follows all safety precautions when installing a trailer hitch.
